Spem in alium
Sundays we don't do non-essential housework (besides cleaning the kitchen after preparing lunch). We have lunch together in community. We don't buy groceries on Sunday, but sometimes we will go shopping or out for a meal as recreation. Last Sunday I went with another Sister for a walk, and we did a little bit of shopping and got some ice cream. It was great and much-needed. vee
Id love to reply to everyone right now but dont have the time! DS, I like that your parish has different groups provide a meal after Mass and that allows people to support the Church as well as get to know each other and develop a community. Nada, Im going to move next door. marys little flower, I like what you said about just having people over for a meal instead. I know of a few parishioners for sure at my parish that often go to a different restaurant after Mass. Since they do that so often Ive wondered why dont they each just host a different Sunday meal at their homes for each after Church instead.
