What Orders are like this?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! Ive just been lurking around. I hope you all have been doing well. If you have the time, I would love some help in finding some orders that:

-Attend Eucharistic adoration daily

-Pray the rosary daily

-Wear a habit

-Are not brand new, have some elderly members (not that there is anything wrong with new orders; I just prefer those that are well established)

-Are steadily recieving new members

Anything helps. Thank you so much!

A number of communities come to mind.

- The Carmelite monastery in St. Louis meet all of these criteria

- Benedictines of Perpetual Adoration (Clyde, Mo and a couple of smaller communities) meet all of these criteria

- Pink Sisters (Philadelphia & St. Louis meet all of these criteria); the communities in Texas and Nebraska are smaller)

- Dominicans of the Perpetual Rosary? Sr. M. Catharine can provide more definitive information.

- Visitation sisters in Mobile (but I'm not sure they have daily Eucharistic adoration)

- Franciscan sisters of St. George (again, not sure about the daily Eucharistic adoration)

- Perhaps the Dominicans of Incurable Cancer

- Perhaps Redemptoristines (not sure about the daily Eucharistic adoration)

All have websites.

The poor clares, and their branches the colletines and the poor clares of perpetual adoration.

Although new, not brand new: the monastic family of jerusalem

Should we give the "checklist discernment" caution, or are we all about tired of that one?

I know I'm tired of getting nagged for making it, even though it seems necessary to remind random wanderers-by, if not the OP in most cases.

Hi my fellow friends, how are you?

Please, check this website

https://humildadzaragoza.wordpress.com/

Is about a catholic brotherhood of laics in Spain, and one of my favorites, is a young confraternity full of illusions, and it began 12 years ago. They have a strong devotion to Virgin Mary of Sweet name and Jesus Lord of Humility, at the agustine convent of Santa Mónica. They go out every Palm Sunday travelling by Zaragoza Streets in order to pray and comunicate their happyness at the sound of trumpets and drums.

Thanks for the reminder! I was just hoping this list would introduce me to some communities. Its not a list of deal breakers or anything.

Are you more interested in active or contemplative life? You might want to look into the Nashville Dominicans, who are teachers, but who have a tradition of adoration. They have sisters of all ages, and usually have a number of new entrants each year. The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration obviously have a tradition of adoration. The ones in Mishiwaka, Indiana, wear a habit. The ones in La Crosse, Wisconsin, do not, but they are a very good group, with a number of young members. There are a number of contemplative communities, of course, who have Adoration regularly.

Also all of the above.  Founded in 1839.  Nice group in the novitiate and a number of serious discerners.  Have a look at the website : Little Sisters of the Poor.org.

God bless.
