Mags
I completed the psych assessments, the superior of the Notting Hill Carmel has read the report and she is happy with it, now I have moved onto the next stage. I have written a letter requesting to enter and sent them my birth, baptismal and confirmation certificates. Eek! It feels real now. Please say a prayer for me? vee
I have written a letter requesting to enter Interesting how things vary from place to place, I never had to write a formal letter requesting to enter per se, jsut answer a whole bunch of questions.. Anyway prayers for you!

TheresaThoma
Definitely prayers for you. I'm kinda curious about what if any guidelines they gave you about writing the letter. The community I am discerning with also asks for a formal letter but they haven't told me what it should be about yet. I'm still hopeful to be allowed to enter this coming fall. Hiya, as they know me well all they wanted was the reasons I had for wanting to enter, nothing too detailed. Perhaps you might be able to ask for more guidance as to content? Before asking the superior I spoke to a deacon at my Church who said that he had done a vocational journey. I hope this helps. Spem in alium
The letter is really a request - asking to be admitted or to move forward in formation, and stating the reasons why you want this to happen. Good luck, Mags! Applications in themselves can be stressful, especially while you're waiting for the decision. I had to wait about four months for mine, because of several hitches...but it just helped me to remember that God works in His own way, and that Jesus, Mary and Joseph themselves had to wait. You're in my prayers.

The waiting is the hard part, I will just have to pray and practice patience!
