You might already have seen these listings, or at least be following some of the blogs already - but here they are anyway, for your enjoyment, lots and LOTS of blogging religious! (even though I'm sure a lot are missing)

Wondering...

What do you look for in a blog?  What draws or interests you?  What types of articles do you prefer?  Thanks.

I am most interested in the inner spiritual life experiences of someone who has committed themselves to a consecrated life.  How have the daily practices of chanting the Divine office, solitude, selfless service, contemplation and prayer changed your perceptions of yourself and your relationship to God within?  What kind of psychological issues have arisen for you as you adjusted to communal living?  How do you work through dry spells in your interior life?  What are some of the challenges of living in community and how do you use the occasional irritation of being with so many personalities and nowhere to escape from them to grow spirituality?  What changes have you observed in yourself since entering religious life?

But the contemplative is only one form of religious life. As one who admires that way but is not called to it, I am interested in the way active religious live out their charism and their faith in so many ways. Ministry is also prayer, and the way that active religious integrate spirituality with action is what I find most helpful in reading such blogs. I think Sister Christina is one example of that, but the links here are full of others. It is a relief, at least to me, to realize that there is not one single mold or "type" of religious dedication.... There is a place for everyone.
