Maggyie
Christ does say it would have been better if Judas had never been born, and he also calls him the son of perdition. Perdition means hell and eternal damnation, for those that may not know. Judas' chances of not being in hell don't seem to be to high. chances are low, but Jesus was using a figure of speech (from a theological perspective existence is a good; it can never be better to not exist). Also the Greek can be translated several ways (perdition, destruction, ruination). Clearly Judas was not a goodie but it's still the case we can not know for SURE he is in hell. xSilverPhinx
That will not line up well with the fact that there will be a particular judgment and a general judgment. The atheist/Catholic/ and anyone going to Hell, will see the God he/she rejected and they will know the weight of their sin and they will throw themselves into hell so they can hide from purity and goodness of God. Just like how Adam hid from God, and how Caine tried to hide himself from God. This is because being in the presence of God will be painful for them, like how it is painful for a person who has lived in a dark cave to be in the presence of the Sun. They know the sun isn't bad, they comprehend the goodness of the sun, but by their many years of living in darkness they have changed their nature and they can no longer be in the presence of the sun without experiencing searing pain which comes to their eyes when exposed to the sun. So they dive back into the eternal cave to avoid the sun. Forced to live with the understanding that their choices have brought them to this sad reality where they will never be able to be in the Suns presence. Sometimes I experience pain...my sides are aching so much right now!

Credo in Deum
No need. It's was the good kind of pain, thank you. I would still recommend seeing a physician. Sometimes you think everything is ok, but the reality is there is something seriously wrong.

I'm mature enough to know that the practice is mostly scare tactics anyways. I feel great, my brain is flooded with endorphins and I knew it would only be temporary anyways. I also thought I was being mature when I ignored them, but then I realized that the scare tactics did not invalidate the reality of the physicians message and that these tactics were employed by my physician because all other approaches and appeals to reason had failed to get through to me. Anyway, I'm at least happy you know I'm truly concerned for your well-being. Edited October 31, 2015 by Credo in Deum

Fear is not always a bad thing; however, prudence is always necessary to keep things in their proper place. I would recommend keeping your head level. Having it held high reeks of hubris, and you just might walk right off a cliff. Anyway I wish you a safe journey. xSilverPhinx
Your welcome, SilverPhinx. Fear is not always a bad thing; however, prudence is always necessary to keep things in their proper place. I would recommend keeping your head level. Having it held high wreaks of hubris, and you just might walk right off a cliff. Anyway I wish you a safe journey. Yes, fear is not always a bad thing, but even though I cannot choose my beliefs I can choose to live without that emotion. I would consider it having a sense of dignity rather than hubris, of which I know the pitfalls. People who know me would attest to the fact that I am a simple, modest person, hubris just isn't my style. Anyways, I wish you a safe journey as well, and that the path you have chosen makes you just as happy.
