Yeah, this was really good. Thanks for posting it. It gives me hope to know they're hearing that. (And hopefully listening.)

I haven't paid much attention to the Synod but I had this morning off work and decided to check out the article in my free time- I'm really glad I did. She calls it like it is. Powerful. When I pray for the Synod I'll remember her and her talk and pray it encourages and strengthens the bishops involved in the Synod.

I hardly think the Pope is giving into the sin of the world.

Some of the bishops certainly are. Whether or not the Pope agrees with them, he has a responsibility to guard the faith against their attacks.

So now we need to tell the Pope how to be Pope because the Pope isn't Pope enough?

I don't think the pope minds the critiques. It's kind of his thing.

The Catholic Church has a history of reminding Popes to guard the Faith from heresy....starting with St Paul correcting St Peter. I think this lady is expressing what a lot of Faithful Catholics  are feeling right now... I didn't read anything where she's saying "Hey Pope, ur not Pope enough."

Sometimes the pope gets too comfortable in Avignon.

I don't think this is about the Pope.

St Catherine of Siena did once. So did St Paul. Consider, why is "ultramontanism" a term that only came about in the 19th century?
