PhuturePriest
Your thoughts? Who do you think won? Sanders had a good and solid showing, and Hillary definitely held her own. The other candidates predictably fell to the wayside, and I think this debate solidified the Clinton vs Sanders paradigm without question.
veritasluxmea
My favorite part was when Hillary was asked how her administration would be different from Obama's, and she said something along the lines of won't that be obvious? (referencing her sex). Oh ok, so there won't be any different besides that? great to know. She doesn't want anyone voting for her because of her last name... but because of her sex is fine. Other than that I liked Anderson the journalist.

CrossCuT
I thought Bernie and Hilary did well but it shouldnt be a shock on Hilary's part. She has much much more experience in that atmosphere than any of the other candidates. I thought CNN tried really really really hard to spin it as some reality tv show boxing match between Bernie and Hilary when in actuality, Bernie came to her aid on the emails topic and essentially shut the entire conversation down for her. Martin O'Malley actually surprised me a bit. I thought he did a pretty good job staying in the conversation when all the camera wanted to do was watch Hilary and Bernie (who evidently were positioned right next to eachother to make the shot easier) Jim Webb had good things to say when he got a chance, but he came off creepy at the end when he said his proudest enemy was the soldier who wounded him but was no longer around....and he giggled all weird...the audience was confused and uncomfortable. Chafee struck me the least..I barely cared that he was there. I give him props though for running as a Dem candidate when formerly being a republican. He kind of insinuated at one point that he didnt know what he was voting for in the 1999 Glass- Steagall case which couldnt have been a good move. I especially liked that all the candidates (especially Bernie) made comments about giving science more credit and following their lead on Climate Change and clean energy. There was a good focus on that in the debate and its something Im glad they spent time on. All in all I enjoyed the debate despite the silliness and borderline reality tv show boxing match intro they had. I think they hit all the major topics and I liked what OMally said at the end: "On this stage you didn't hear anyone denigrate women, you didn't hear anyone make racist comments about new immigrants, you didn't hear anyone speak ill of anyone because of their religious belief," I watched the second Repulican debate a it just seemed like a bully contest between them all. They spent most of their time attacking people and not really discussing important issues. Trump made careless comments on Firoirna's looks, Ran Paul's looks and probably everyone else. Watching it for me was surprisingly refreshing. Not in that I agreed with much of what was said, but because it wasn't some political soap opera like the Republican debates have become. They're trying to turn politics into a reality TV show, and it's getting very tiresome.
Maggyie
I kept tuning in because I wanted to see if Hillary was going to be a robot. But every time they had Jim Webb or some other member of the B team talking. Is it just me or do all politicians seem weird when they're trying to debate? Most normal people would not stand on a podium and debate in front of millions of people in the hope of becoming a leader in what historically can only be described as a massive empire's predictable downfall. It seems as if every poll has Bernie winning by a landslide, which I think makes sense since in my opinion he did have stronger and more compelling answers, even if his gun rhetoric didn't resonate with the base. Hillary's lame response of "I love Sweden, but we live in America! That can't work here!" was a lame answer. Not because I think it could work here, but because simply saying it can't isn't proof or a compelling argument whatsoever. She just made a statement and didn't give evidence to support it, and I think people are smart enough to recognize that.
Makarioi
I'm so tired of this political coverage and the BS that comes with it. Just think, we have over a year of it to go. In my neck of the woods, media outlets are saying that Bernie won. She a Clinton, ( remember: a Rodham before) and Clintons have different rules. She thinks we're as ignorant as she's trying to portray herself, is hot headed when called out. She's so desperate that she has to get Bill to help her. There's a saying: "as dumb as a fox". little2add
Proxy wars between Russia and the USA are underway and escalating in the Middle East , tens of thousands of Christians are being slathered and subsequently driven from there homelands. The carnage continues.... and the best the dems can talk about is the right of woman the have access to abortion and global warming. Really ? Not much of a debate Edited October 16, 2015 by little2add
Peace
I dunno know if I could ever vote for Hillary, regardless of her political views. There is just something about her personality that rubs me the wrong way. She just doesn't seem like she really has any sincerity or real compassion for people on a human level. She strikes me as just wanting to win to boost her own ego or obtain power, but not really cause she has a sincere heart to do good for the country. Sure - I think that is true for most Presidential candidates to various extents, but I really get that vibe from Hillary. I got the same kind of vibe from Romney, but even more-so with Hillary. CrossCuT
Hilary is the pseudo progressive as seen by a lot of dems right now. The main thing keeping her afloat is her connection to corporate interest and campaign funding. I know a lot of GOP supporters view her as the ultimate enemy to squash, but really...she is tame compared to Bernie from a progressive standpoint.
