katherineH
What is a "private association of Catholic women?" Similar to a society of apostolic life? I'm intrigued, I've never heard that terminology before!

I'm intrigued, I've never heard that terminology before! Iirc, this is the first stage for a group forming a religious community. They may start out at this level and then move on to something of the diocescan level or much later pontifical rite (depending on scope and size of the community).
