Maybe you think she's British because she's Anglican, the Church of which started in England.

and she have Queen Elisabeth as an avatar.

I thought Ignatius was a man from England. Turned out I was all wrong.

old Joe changed stripes because the pope is in town

The same Joe Biden that told the Chinese that he understood and didn't second-guess their one-child policy?

The Chinese president was also in town.  I wonder what Biden said to him?

You are not the first person to think I am a man or that I am from England.

I wish I lived in England. I feel very much at home there. Because of my health it's been a long time since I've been to England--I miss it.

If it helps remind you that I'm female, think of me as Iggy. A lot of longtime users call me that. (Although, men have used the last name Iggy, too.) :idontknow:

In hindsight, I wish I'd thought of the male/female confusion when I first set my username. But, I didn't give it a lot of thought when I set it. I wanted to ask a question, and needed to set a username quickly. I picked St Ignatius of Loyola because my birthday is the same as his feast day. Even with the male/female confusion, I like my user name, so I'm not going to change it after all this time.

I was very surprised when a user first told me they thought I was female. I think I sound very much like a female when I write (whatever that means), but I guess not.

Oh well. Now you know. :)

If you're anglican, you must feel "at home" in england, no ?

Ignatius is fine, Iggy sounds a little strange and is not female or male in my head. Or I may call you Elisabeth ;)

little story, i understood that you were female when one day you spoke about your husband. I had two long minutes of confusion like "what ? he was married to a man ?" until I saw the light !
