Amateur Catholic Day

I think you may have misunderstood my post(s). For the record, I am VERY happy that the Pope is visiting the U.S. I'm also very pleased that lots of people, Catholics and non-Catholics alike, are welcoming the Pope and excited that he is here. I have great respect for Pope Francis and it's wonderful that so many people, whether Catholic or not, are having a chance to hear his message.

I apologize if my post was not clear.

My last sentence was not directed at you at all, Ignatius, I'm sorry ! I agreed with your post in fact, my last sentence was more general. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding ! :nun3:

(also, in my head, you're british)

It's funny, we do associate people with their avatars. There are a lot of users that I imagine looking just like their avatar.

Unfortunately, I'm not British--I only wish I was. (And, 3 out of my 4 grandparents were of British descent, including one who was an immigrant from England. My other 25% is Estonian, which is where I got my blue eyes and blond hair.)

I'm not a fan of the President, but was impressed with his welcoming speech for our Pope.  He called him Holy Father on many occasions and Your Holiness! Pope Francis is so cute, I want to pinch his cheeks and give him a hug . We all belong to the catholic church, but really Catholic this week!  My pastor is one of the many priests who will be concelebrating Mass with our Pope in Philly!

I have been waiting today for you to change your avatar to St. Padre Pio, but alas it didn't happen.  Regardless, here he is in all of his happy saints splendor!

Wait... Iggy doesn't live in England???

Maybe you think she's British because she's Anglican, the Church of which started in England.
