Hi, sorry I didn't reply to this before. I'm good, I'm going back to Ireland next week so I'm running around trying to get everything organised. I've bought most of what I need to bring but the temptation is to keep buying stuff. I'm not sure at this stage just how many pairs of white knee socks I have.

I wanted to organise something for family and friends before I leave but I didn't want a big party, too expensive and too difficult to organise. Mum has asked the Parish Priest if he'll come and say Mass at the house and she suggested we invite the neighbours, family and friends and have refreshments afterwards which I think would be far nicer.

I should be terrified but mostly I just feel happy.

Oh, and I'll be entering on the 7th after or just before 1st Vespers of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Since its such a big feast day and Sr. Danielle is receiving the habit on the 8th (as announced on their Facebook page) the sisters thought it would be nice for me to come in the evening before and be there for the full day.

I've been asked by a friend to go on Irish radio to talk about becoming a nun http://barbarascully.com/the-hen-house-a-women-only-hour-of-radio/ The show will be prerecorded so I've no idea when it'll be broadcasted.

You are certainly having a hectic time and I'm sure that you are looking forward to going home next week. It will be lovely for you to have some time with your family before your entrance on the 7th. God Bless you SIB.

The postulants have to mark their breviaries for all the singing so that they know what to do. It's tedious. I have done many, many sets! When I was in the novitaite we had enough old sets and I would be assigned to do them as the "oldest' novice.

When the new edition comes out (2020?) I hope they are marked for singing like the editions are in England. But we'll all still need to mark them for the responsories, etc.

After 25 years I STILL find marks in my book that are wrong. No, I didn't have to mark mine! I got an old set. The pages are quite worn. They make me look holy! :hehe2::dance3:

What do you mean mark it?I have to mark mine every morning.

I think she means marking the pages with pencil or pen as opposed to marking the pages with ribbons.

I'm curious if you could share a picture of a marked page?  I have not heard of marking a breviary with a pen. Most of the Sisters I know use a mix of ribbons and holy cards.

I think she means putting in notation to help with singing and plainchant, not with finding the pages. Some brievaries are printed with that notation already, others aren't.

I've stopped working and I'm now staying with my parents until I fly to America. I would appreciate some prayers as I have my visa interview tomorrow. I've got all the documents together and apparently its just a five minute interview but I must admit I'm nervous. My friend had a cancellation on her radio show so she's going to be interviewing me live on 11th of November at 4pm GMT. www.dublinsouthfm.ie

Just under a month before I fly out to America. I collected my visa today.

Strictly, I'm praying for you! Maybe one day I'll get up to NJ from New Orleans and visit you! God bless!
