krissylou
I'm just guessing but maybe this congregation reserves "Brothers" for whose who are going to remain brothers, while those on the path to priestly ordination are Mr. until they're Father? I think those are laypeople who have been invited to the ordinations (especially as there are women sitting among them - I'm pretty sure they're not brothers ). As they're in the very front pew, they could be the family members of the ordinands - the article says relatives were present.

They are also often pictured in cassocks. The brothers' clothing varies in their photos and presumably this depends on their ministry. On reading more about them, it seems they are not a monastic order and so presumably wouldn't wear more monastic garb. To be honest I don't see a problem - they're faithful, they're orthodox, they're growing in vocations, why the need to gossip about their clothes? My point here is that they may have some habit that they may recognise as brothers and not to be mistaken as a layperson. Brotherhood is one of the religious vocation that needs saving.Having some sort of a habit may have them recognised and be noticed by those who are discerning for religious brotherhood. I don't mean to gossip about their clothes. They are one of the few growing communities for men religious and I do pray for them
