crusader1234
Jen, the age of Legal consent is anywhere from 14-18 depending on where you live in the United States. -Rich
BeenaBobba
Hi Rich, I actually didn't know that. But, the fact would still remain that this play would be exploiting minors in some states. God bless, Jen
BeenaBobba
Regarding my previous post, the age of consent in Illinois and Massachusetts (where the play will be/has been shown at Catholic colleges) is 17 and 18, respectively. That being said, the lesbian sex acts with the 16-year-old girl would be illegal in these states. God bless, Jen
crusader1234
I'm not disagreeing I just thought I'd point it out. I think the play, whether about 16 year olds or 18 year olds, isn't something that should be done within a school environment.

the protector
Keep in mind that this play does in fact exploit minors. Last I knew, an adult having sex with a 16-year-old is considered statutory rape.
From what I've seen of the Vagina Monologues, it has been several women on reading on stage. You make it sound as if it were a live sex show. I do agree that it is the school's decision to ban whatever they feel does not fit their standards. It isnt porn, but it is sensitive subject matter that invovlves minors, making it even more sinsitive.
littleflower+JMJ
that play is nothing but vulgarity no matter if its acted, read or whatever under the blue sky one can think of. its all the same content.
