katherineH
Hi Kathleen! It looks like they don't have their own channel of communication yet and function closely with the Franciscan Brothers, so I would e-mail the address on the Brothers' website and ask for their contact information. FranciscanBrothersMinor@Hotmail.com Hope this helps! Edited August 16, 2015 by katherineH
IgnatiusofLoyola
I was trying to reach the Mother Superior of the Franciscan Sisters Minor in Indiana and can not find their info online anymore. Can anyone help me? Thanks! Here is a link to an article about the arrival of the Franciscan Sisters Minor to Fort Wayne, IN. It looks as if the Sisters are fairly new to Indiana which may be the reason why they don't have an online presence established yet. http://franciscanbrothersminor.com/FBM/Gallery/Pages/Sisters_Arrive_in_Fort_Wayne.html It looks as if the Sisters are part of the Third Order Confraternity of Penitents of the Franciscan Brothers Minor. http://www.penitents.org/religiouslivingcfprule.html Here is the contact information from the Brothers Web page. http://www.franciscanbrothersminor.com/FBM/Confraternity_of_Penitents.html Edited August 16, 2015 by IgnatiusofLoyola
Pax_et bonum
You could also try FranciscanSistersMinor@hotmail.com That's the email Mother Colette Marie gave me the other year to contact her. I hope they are doing well! <
Lumiere
The first link is about a group of women who have since become a cloistered contemplative community of Poor Clares called the "Poor Sisters of St. Clare". This is their web site: http://www.francislittleassisi.com/poorsistersofsaintclare.html Here is a news article about them, here another and here is another. The second and third links are about a new community of women who have since been "refounded" and who are not cloistered, the "Franciscan Sisters Minor". The Franciscan Sisters Minor again seem to be active in the schools.
TheresaThoma
In the last link in Lumiere's post at the bottom of the page there is a mailing address and a Voicemail/phone number. Not as quick as email but still a place to start
John Paul
So there is the Poor Sisters of Saint Clare and the Franciscan Sisters Minor and the FSM became cloistered or are they two seperate communities associated with the Brothers Minor. littlesister
If we have this correctly, the FSM's have indeed had a journey. They began as a parallel group to the Franciscan Brothers Minor. About a year ago (date ?) they decided that the cloistered life was more their calling, and became the Poor Sisters of St. Clare. That time, it appeared that the entire group stayed together. A number or them more recently returned to a more active life, and are now called Franciscan Sisters Minor. From the beginning they have done evangelization presentations for young people, so they have a ministry in schools but not as full-time teachers.
