Nunsuch
There are active congregations that have farms and other sustainable settings as part of their ministries. The Michigan IHMs, for instance, have St. Mary's Organic Farm: http://ihmsisters.org/living-justly/sustainable-community/motherhouse-campus/motherhouse-grounds/st-mary-organic-farm-community-garden/ More information on active sisters (in the US) who have farms as one of their ministries can be found in this book: http://www.amazon.com/Green-Sisters-A-Spiritual-Ecology/dp/0674034953
sr.christinaosf
The RSMs in Jackson, MN have a land program, or at least they did when I visited with them years back. Our Sisters have a farm also, but now, much of the land is rented out to a local farmer. They still have gardens, though.
