LoveZoe11
Hi everyone, Do any of you know any women's communities that have farm/ sustainable living apostolates or monasteries? :-)
Marie Villalovos Smith
Hi LoveZoe11, The communities that I am aware of that farm are Benedictines. Regina Laudis, Walburga Abbey and the Benedictines of Mary Queen of the Apostles are all farming communities. Pax
Nunsuch
There are quite a lot of such communities. A good book that also has contact information for a number of such communities, is Sarah M. Taylor's "Green Sisters: A Spiritual Ecology." http://www.amazon.com/Green-Sisters-Sarah-McFarland-Taylor/dp/0674034953/
Sister Leticia
We recently had a couple of threads with similar questions, so you'll find a lot of information in them. LoveZoe11 - Presumably you've also done some research into this - it would be good if you could share what you've found.
Egeria
I don't know where you are, but the Cistercians (Trappistines) of Glencairn in Ireland farm. There's a documentary about them below. Traditionally Cistercians tend to farm, but, as noted on other threads, that has become difficult for many communities today. Edited August 2, 2015 by Egeria Typo.
