Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Pax domini (peace be with you)... So get this, perhaps the left and right wings of this dove of peace called the bride of christ are , church millitant and church missionary, now heres the good news hot off the press, perhaps saint paul was church millitant as are his letters of course look at his upbringing, and than perhaps the church missionary is the apostles and the catholic letters. But of course both wings are needed to fly this Bird. And heed the perhaps and try not to take my words out of context. Discuss away. Onward christian souls. P.s. And the body is the gospels. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
FYI http://www.ewtn.com/faith/Teachings/chura1.htm Amen. But i'm talking about the left and right wings. It's a whole different thing, duh. But ok i will refrain from using the word church militant than and try and think of something else. And i'm thinking out loud so don't take it supremely seriously, as you should nothing that isn't church official. DUH! But thanks for the rebuke. And i prob shouldn't have used the word apostles and just left it at the catholic letters. I don't live in a box either i'm a free thinker as where many of the saints but still have the utmost respect for official church teaching but also you must understand i'm not under holy orders i have not taken a vow of obedience to every crossed t and dotted i. Not saying i'm a saint but i do seek to emulate them. sooooo... Edited July 21, 2015 by Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
my connection is stuffed but heres this... The bishops and pope have to be in agreement, not all church documents are like that, or are they? For something to be infallible does it have to have all 3 stamps , the nihil obstat, imprimateur and impri potest. Not all church documents are infallible! also...A "theologian" who would claim he needs to be able to ignore the Magisterium in order to find the truth is strangely perverse: the teaching of the Magisterium is the prime, God-given means of finding the truth. I am no theolgian. I think you people don't read church documents properly or just skim over them and not really soak in the finer details, i am reminded of a verse in scripture something about you hypocrits and pharisees stranning knats and neither going there yourselves or allowing anyone else to go there, to heaven that is. I am no theologian nore am i a priest, bishop nore pope. If your all theologians be careful of the burdens you heap on the layman. I agree with everything in this document you have posted, the question is, DO YOU? And yes the catechism is one of such documents that is infallible i think so of course i agree with everything it teaches. Missed a comma, lol. And yes the catechism is one of such documents that is infallible i think, so of course i agree with everything it teaches. Anyways church millitant, or just simply left and right wings i would like to discuss in detail what i have thought of, no matter how stupid it may seem to some of you please respect that it is not stupid to me and perhaps some others would like to discuss it. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
I am a simple man and yes will confound you, because as Jesus said he will bless the simple to confound the strong, because of course knowledge puffs up and you are often needing to be bought down a peg so you can see the little people. No pun intended So there it is straight out of an infallible document, the holy bible, argue if you will but i will continue on my mission. There is a wise saying that should be taken into consideration here and it goes like this " When you think you know everything you actually know nothing." Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Sorry for flood my connection keeps dropping out and can take ages to reconnect... And i would like to thank whomever said i'm more protestant than catholic, not that i will ever abandon the holy Eucharist or the absolution of the confessional but i find the protestants more loving and respectful to a simple minded fool like me, but yet i will remain catholic because those whom persist till the end will be saved.
