puellapaschalis
From the diocese of Arundel and Brighton in the UK (roughly, "the bit that's almost but not quite all the way down in the bottom right hand corner"). Enjoy!

Gabriela
That was a great video, btw. Really honest. Does that diocese have a vocation shortage?
puellapaschalis
It does. The previous bishop resigned because his long-standing affair with a married woman broke when her husband sued her for divorce; the one before him was made Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster and continued the infamous Magic Circle in that conference. Decent priests have been harassed by curial staff as well as pilloried by local press. But the new bishop seems to have a good head on his shoulders; God be with him. puellapaschalis
The CBCEW (Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales) has for some years - I don't know how to put this tactfully - not been what either a) our Catholic forebears, or b) a significant minority of the Catholic population, or c) a significant majority of the Catholic population, had they been catechised enough to realise*, call Catholic. It was an old boys' club of men who studied at the same college (I want to say it was the Venerable in Rome, but am not sure), had each others' backs, but acted, if you'll forgive my misusing Scripture, as hirelings who didn't give a flying fig about the faith of their sheep. Some appointments in recent years have raised standards, but it's still a bit touch-and-go. It's not so long ago that someone who wanted a regular and frequent period of Exposition and Adoration in his parish would have to keep his head down, lest his character become known to the wrong people. And Heaven forbid you pray for 'authentic' vocations. *Guess who catechised them?

littlesister
This video is wonderful. I wish we could make it available to every vocation director and seminary rector in the English-speaking world. Thank you so much for posting!
