Feankie
http://pcheartponderings.blogspot.com The nuns posted some new pics and info on their blog. The twins have discerned out (I actually read their mother's quilting blog and she mentioned that both had gotten jobs as nannies, so it's public info). They have one new postulant and their aspirant is scheduled to enter very soon.
linnie
What a beautiful way to talk about the women who discerned out! It was loving and accepting. Beautiful!
NadaTeTurbe
It must have been hard for the community, but it's better that they discerned out now, than after perpetual vow. Very beautiful statement from the community. May Sainte Claire give them many new vocation !

Let's be sensitive and prayerful, please.
AveMariaPurissima
I was really impressed with how charitably and tactfully the community spoke about the departures. Leaving religious life isn't easy for anyone involved, so it is good seeing that the community has a healthy view of it -- that helps a lot. Feankie
I don't think I was insensitive. Th twins were very open to their entering. They blogged, You Tubed, etc. as did their mom. We had a thread going about them ( not them per se, but sisters who were in religious life together), so it was a subject that was openly discussed. The Poor Clares themselves posted a lot about them on their blog. And now their mother is posting about them (with Phoenix and Cheyenne contributing as well) n her blog now that they'e discerned out. http://quiltsandcanvases.blogspot.com is the blog where Cheyenne talks about her new job as a nanny and Kim talks about both girls being nannies. The Nuns handled it so beautifully in their explanation - I think they said it all! I was just passing along into as they were such a discussed topic for a while. SNJM
I think they handled it beautifully, with a lot of respect and honesty. I appreciated the links. It's important to know that sometimes it pleases God to ask something painful or surprising - especially when it affects others. Leaving a community (I know!) is very painful, but submitting to God's will really takes a strong heart and full conviction. It's not easy and there is often such a stigma attached, that sometimes people refuse to acknowledge what they know to be true in their hearts and soul until the Novice Mistress or Formator brings it out. I applaud the Nuns, the Mom and the two young women for being open, respectful and willing to share their stories.
