Not A Mallard
Seriously - that's your objection about the T-1000s death... that it happens too quickly? Never mind that the movie-makers were clever enough to have Sarah Connor put on a gas mask to prevent her death from acid fumes, but do not do the same for Reece... Or the fact the trap is activated by shooting the ceiling (what kind of trap needs to be shot with a gun to activate?!) Or how about you count the real opportunities the T-1000 had to kill either Reece or Sarah or both until it died? How come the acid is strong enough to kill the T-1000 but won't even affect the slightest functionality of the T-800's hand as it holds the T-1000 in place? No splashing from the acid affect the T-800s face either. And how did they determine the amount of acid required to have enough pouring (resulting from gun shots to the ceiling) for the T-1000 to be in the acid, come out, go back and properly die while the down pour keeps gong all along. I love the spray freshener Sarah walks with to neutralize the acid too - that is some magical spray to neutralize acid that strong I tells ya - every home should have that miraculous freshener on hand and surely world peace will ensue. But never mind all that - the fact the that T-1000 dies too quickly... ya, that doesn't fit. That's the big issue. I agree with you. You're right. CINEMA SINS - look it up on Youtube. I've had plenty of time over vacation to overthink certain plot points, but not individual scenes.
Didacus
Careful - one more comment like that and we may be sent to the lame board.
Not A Mallard
Well, there is a lot of lame stuff in that movie, even if I sort of liked it. Though it makes less sense the more I think about it.
tinytherese
And my slightly tongue-in-cheek (and very spoilerific) proposal on where to take the franchise. The link doesn't work. Not even remotely interested in seeing this movie. John Conner a bad guy. Gimme a break! I was disturbed by that too. I saw it anyway though. Not A Mallard
The link doesn't work. It was an article that I wrote late at night that was a better idea at the time; the first suggestion was to turn the franchise into a sitcom, and the second suggestion was...
