I think we all knew this was coming.  We get chided for making "slippery slope" arguments and yet they're turning out to be totally true.

I don't know which is more horrifying, the story or the comment section.  We are living is scary times.

I worked with someone who was a nurse in San Francisco for years.  He said that every survivor of a suicide attempt of jumping off a bridge regretted the decision to jump on the way down.   I don't think killing themselves is what they primarily want. They want the hurt to end.  Very sad how a culture has killing one's self as the medicinal method to end the hurting.

Having to debate this routinely since the Supreme Court of Canada ruled to allow physician assisted suicide. Everyone visualizes the person dying of a painful cancer or trapped in a useless body by huntington's. This is the real face. In countries where euthanasia is allowed 40% doing it have a mental illness.  Depression is treatable not terminal.

This is the logical outcome of a society in which suffering has lost all meaning. Restore meaning to suffering and—problem solved.

She says she's "tried everything". Has she tried Jesus? Jesus gives meaning to suffering.
