Fly a Little Higher

I was at a book signing a couple of weeks ago with the author of the book Fly a Little Higher.  Her son Zach Sobiech was a huge sensation here in Minnesota but I doubt he got much press outside of the state.  Zach was a high school student battling cancer when he wrote  the song "Clouds" and put it on Youtube, it became a viral sensation.  When he recorded it professionally and released it, it was #1 on iTunes.

Laura Sobiech's book is about Zach's (and her whole family's) journey.  But it is also about how their Catholic faith is the foundation that took them through the horrific tragedy of losing a son.  She is a strong, smart funny woman who fully embraces her Catholic faith.  After spending a few hours with her, I was completely smitten! I hope our paths cross again and I can eventually count her as a friend!
