Benedictus
I can relate to this. I got cut from an inheritance when I was in the process of applying. I felt I had to do what I felt called to do, regardless of the loss of money or complaints about what I was doing. I think sometimes, at least in my case, this action was about trying to assert control over the fear of losing me. There are probably lots of other reasons besides. My mother has softened up a bit in the last month or so, as she can see I'm happy, but also because I'm able to write and or call her. So a hard situation can change for the better.Anyway, lots of good tips and advice from other posters here. I'd simply say to listen to God and try, even in small steps, to take close friends and family along with you bit by bit. They may have anxiety and warped ideas about what you're going to do, so patience is key. If these concerns can be resolved or ironed out it might be a bit easier.
