sr.christinaosf
We, here at St. Anne's Guest Home (care facility and apartments for the elderly and disabled), like to celebrate our patronal feast (July 26! This year it will fall on a Sunday (still trying to figure out the liturgical implications of that one). I oversee our monthly resident newsletter and type up our activity calendar. I'm starting to think ahead to "St. Anne's Week. I couple of years ago we started having a week of dress-up theme days and I think it would be fun to do again. We try to have days that are fun and yet easy for our residents and staff to find appropriate apparel to wear. Themes have included hat/wacky hair day, sports day, patriotic day, pajama day, etc. (I enjoy wearing a Minnesota Gopher shirt on top of my other clothing to rile people up a bit on sports day. I've been given extra U of M gear which I graciously lend out to residents for the occasion of "sports day.") If any one has some other fun and easy ideas for themes, I'd appreciate it. I know it's a little early but I'll soon be working on our calendar, etc. for July and will want to publish them. PS; I'd also appreciate your prayers for the needs of our facility. HopefulHeart
One theme that comes to mind is that each person can wear something in his or her favorite color.
