Suicidal Neighbour

I have an elderly next-door neighbour who has been refusing food and water for ten days. He had to go to the hospital to be rehydrated on a drip, but when he got home he started refusing liquid again and saying he just wants to die. He was an orphan from an early age and has no blood relatives still living. He is getting care from my landlord's family, who are threatening to put him in a nursing home if he won't drink. I don't think threatening him will help but I'm unsure what to do for the best. Please pray for him and for everyone who is trying to look after him.
