You know that circle on your user and people put picture s in it.How do I get a picture in mine?

--Choose the picture you want (if you haven't already) and download it on your computer.

 --Click on your user name

--Click on the command to open your profile

--Near the circle where your picture would be is a small place marked "profile photo." Click on it.

--There is a command that says "Upload photo." You will be able to browse your computer to find the photo you previously downloaded. It will also give guidelines as to the best size for the photo.

It might take you two or three tries to get your photo the right size and to center your picture in the circle. I did mine myself, and I'm no techie. I was able to edit my photo using "Paint" on Windows. However, you can also Google photo editing programs. There are a couple that are very easy and free.

If you work on it for a long time and still can't get your photo right, speak up. There are people here who may have time to help you. (Not me--Downloading my photo is about the limit of my technical abilities.) Whoever helps you, thank them nicely and be properly appreciative of the time they've spent for you. Before you ask anyone for help, be sure you've decided exactly what photo you want.

Good luck!

what is the error message? I think it will scale down a image that is too large, unless it's very big. It may not be in the correct format.

Can you link the images?

No picture yet? What exactly does the error message say? Can you copy the wording of the error message here? The error usually has to do with either the format or the size of the photo. If a photo is in the wrong format, the image can usually be resaved in a different format. And, every free online photo editing program I've seen has allowed photos to be resized.

If you have too many problems with a photo, well, you might just have to pick another one. The good thing is that there are lots of great images out there!

Good luck!
