PhuturePriest
So my Catholic Gentleman Rosary, made of steel beads and military grade paracord, came in the mail yesterday, and I love it. The beads make a satisfying metallic clink when they hit each other, and it's pleasingly heavy. I feel like I'm carrying a heavy sword into battle whenever I pray with it. May I die with the sword that is the rosary in my hands, and the battle cry that is the Hail Mary upon my lips.

Thinking this might make a nice birthday or Christmas gift for my little brother. http://www.sheenrosaries.com/collections/all The one I got specifically was the Catholic Gentleman Rosary with the St. Benedict crucifix, which I found to be much nicer than the crucifix it originally goes with: http://www.sheenrosaries.com/products/catholic-gentleman-rosary-steel-beads-and-paracord If anyone in your family is a Knight, they also make a stellar Knights of Columbus rosary with beads made of gunmetal: http://www.sheenrosaries.com/products/knights-of-columbus-rosary-gunmetal-steel-beads

PhuturePriest
My dad is a Knight! This is really great. Thank you! Just for funsies, they also have an arguably more aesthetically pleasing rosary that I almost decided on instead:http://www.sheenrosaries.com/products/hoplite-rosary-brass-beads
Ash Wednesday
Beautiful! I'd probably get one just like it, with the St. Benedict's Medal and the Miraculous Medal, such excellent choices.

I'm loaded with two Saint Benedict's medals on the rosary, actually. The one in the center and the one at the center of the crucifix, not to mention the Benedictine crucifix I wear around my neck. I am invincible.
Spem in alium
Nice! I bet the beads have a nice feel, too (I'm partial to wooden Rosaries, but I imagine steel would be good also).
PhuturePriest
Nice! I bet the beads have a nice feel, too (I'm partial to wooden Rosaries, but I imagine steel would be good also). I used to use wooden corded beads exclusively, but due to my habit of carrying around my rosary either on a belt loop or on my hand (as displayed in the picture) I have a terrible habit of breaking them. I've broken so many rosaries in the past four years that I should be put on trial, really, so I decided I would go with something well made and heavy duty so it won't break. It also helps that Sheen Rosaries have a lifetime warranty, so should it ever break I can just get a new one.
