When I saw the thread title, I said to myself "What on earth!"...and when I read later comments similar to Nunsuch, I knew I really was missing something. Thanks again.....my mind is at rest. gloriana35
Theresa Thoma made some excellent points - and I can see things haven't changed in years. During the 1990s, a friend of mine (not from the same religious congregation) became a vocation director. She was telling me that certain conferences she'd attended stressed 'interviews, interviews, interviews,' but vocation directors were warned against doing anything to seem to encourage anyone, lest someone enter who might have decided not to do so. It can vary greatly between communities - but it is possible that they'd want to leave it up to each individual to come to events. As well, with communities being a fraction of the size they were in my younger days, Sisters can find themselves up to their eyeballs in trying to handle ministries that once were accomplished by four times the number. I doubt that their not inviting you for personal visiting means you've offended them.
