NadaTeTurbe
Okay, I need to vent. Today, I was on the facebook page of a group dedicated to post pictures of nuns in habit, mostly XIXth century habits, and old pictures. The drawing, the pictures, NONE OF THEM HAVE SOURCE. I don't really care about the pictures, but the drawing that I saw came from a book about history of costume that have been writed by a specialist, an historian. IT IS HIS WORK. Copyright matter. I want to be an historian of clothing, and the first thing we learn is to give the reference. Thou shall not steal. Posting images that come from the work of other without giving source, is a form of stealing. It took 5 minutes to write "this image come from XXXX, writted by XXXX." and if you don't know, "i don't know who is the author, but I found it at XXXX." 5 minutes, and you can respect the work of someone who maybe spent years doing it. So, please, keep in mind the next time you are sharing image of religious habit, and call out people who don't do it.
