Hi, a small group of us are trying to urge people of all faiths to pray for World Peace.

We have produced a small prayer card with an invitation to join in this prayer campaign etc.   On the reverse of the card is a prayer written by Mother Teresa.  We began by distributing them to all our church parishioners and now feel  a need to pass them on to people of other faiths, schools and people in the street etc.   We would very much like to reach as many people as possible. Does anyone have any ideas ?

We are willing to distribute them with NO COST (unless anyone wishes to make a donation for postal charges etc) . We do not want money to get in the way of this urgent need for prayer.  Please help!!

Social media: Email, facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube, all the hottest spots. Maybe even make a website for it. Use hashtags like #worldpeace #peace #prayer #prayforpeace and promote the religious diversity encouraged. The general public, for better or for worse, likes "Tolerance," so use that to your advantage. Hinge off the idea of "Tolerance" to promote real peace. Make a morally arbitrary term become a good, moral concept, that's what Christianity has does for 2000 years.

Incentivize. It doesn't have to be a material things, unless the funding comes your way, but try to incentivize. If there's one thing people like it's getting something in return. Perhaps make a video contest with a prompt for world peace, and have some prize for the winner.

Last, but most important, pray. Pray for others to open their hearts to pray for, promote, and exemplify peace. We are not in competition to get the highest numbers in our belief systems, or we shouldn't be. We should instead be seeking truth. As St. Augustine said, "The truth is like a lion. You don't have to defend it. Let it loose. It will defend itself." So pray that others will pray, and pray yourself. I pray your mission is guided by the Holy Spirit and touches minds and hearts.

Hi, I just began a reply to your 's  and got "cut off" - must have touched something by mistake !   Easy to see I am a newcomer to all this.

very many thanks for your prayer, time and advice.  I must say I had never thought of a website and I think it may be a good idea.  However I am pondering all your thoughts/ideas and will take it all to Mass with me later today.

Also, I got to thinking about the phenomenon of the Ice Bucket Challenge last summer. It happened so fast...I woke up one morning and almost every post on instagram was the ice bucket challenge. It grew exponentially because its tactic was that someone has to do something uncomfortable or give money to research ALS, often people did both though, in order to recruit and/or humiliate their friends. When influential people (celebrities, politicians, religious leaders) get involved, it becomes even more in vogue. So think of ways to get "important" people to encourage this something encouraging this. Sometimes it may start with "Christian celebrities" like singers or speakers.
