Does anyone have anything to do with LC or RC? If so I was hoping you could tell us a bit about your experience.

Thanks!

I was never in the RC/LC but from my interactions with them, they came off very devout and very pushy vocations -wise. Maybe after all the scandal they have changed things.

I had some contact with an LC priest a few years ago (before the scandal broke). He was EXTREMELY pushy vocations-wise - within five minutes of meeting me he was telling me he was sure I had a religious vocation ("I can see it, Beatitude, I can see it!"). I know some clergy in our student chaplaincy were uncomfortable that an LC priest had been invited in, and the senior chaplain told me he was essentially deceived into issuing the invitation. That made me feel very uncomfortable about LC/RC.

However, this year I have met other LC priests (halfway across the world) and have had nothing but positive experiences. One of them is my confessor and he is always wise, always gentle, and never the least bit pushy. Perhaps things have changed, as Maggyie says. I'd still go cautiously, however.

I went to their Apostolic School (junior and Senior year) and was a novice in the Novitiate for a year and a half. I consider myself an RC member though I have not really done much with the movement since I left the novitiate simply because there are no other member or Religious near me.

I usually Keep my involvement on the DL because always seems to be a stigma that come with it.

My experience I would say was great I grew spiritually and made great friendships. Most of the Priest and brothers I met were great and had a great zeal for the Gospel and for souls. I never really came across anything malicious or ill will.
