The time for Lazarus to depart this earth had come and so he passed away.  He was raised however from the dead - a new purpose to be achieved? :dance2:

Alright. If others don't mind, I can keep my mouth shut. But here's the problem I have with it:

It pushes new threads that have little discussion in them to the bottom, thus effectively discouraging new conversation. Really old threads tend to be long, which means it takes a lot of time investment to get caught up on them (by reading) so one can continue contributing to them. If new threads are getting pushed down so people have a hard time finding and contributing to them, and old threads take too long to catch up on so people hesitate to even click into them, then ultimately, resurrecting a bunch of old threads really majorly slows down discussion in the VS.

Now, I know VS has never been a fast-paced place (except for maybe in the occasional thread-gone-out-of-hand), and I certainly don't want to discourage anyone from reading old posts, cuz that's a great way to learn about discernment and vocations. So here's what I propose: Read all the dead threads you want, and if one of their topics interests you and you want to discuss it, start a NEW thread on that topic, link to the old thread in the OP, state some new thoughts in the OP, and then ask people if they'd like to chime in.

Does that make sense?

Yes,I will try harder in the future and will follow your advice.

Gosh, you really are a brother-in-the-making. You sound so obedient! ;)

I'm not your superior, but I will say it's quite impressive that you've read so many old threads! :like2:
