The UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission briefed the Security Council on new findings that could help trace the whereabouts of Saddam's missile and WMD program. The briefing contained satellite photographs that demonstrated the speed with which Saddam dismantled his missile and WMD sites before and during the war. Council members were shown photographs of a ballistic missile site outside Baghdad in May 2003, and then saw a satellite image of the same location in February 2004, in which facilities had disappeared. Lounge Daddy
I hope this news gets a lot more attention than what it is getting right now - the "big deal" about the war was the WMD scare... and the chance the WMD's were shipped to another country. to have the U.N. back this up - wow. I am sick of hearing Liberals gossip about Bush chasing ghosts.

But on the point, If the UN backs this up and supports it it means we HOPEFULLY will go into an other war. I would really like to see Pakastan get in trouble, I mean they gave nukes to North Korea  . But the US track record on WMD shippment isn't very good. Aloysius
that shell clearly had sarin gas... so they've found some already, and clearly they know he had them. ppl will continue to try to make it seem as if the Iraq thing was just about oil and all that, they'll probably be sayin that for decades, but the fact is Bush and a bunch of other people saw a real threat there and acted, and that threat was not baseless. ThyWillBeDone
I really wish this story would get on the news in America. But like William Putnam said they will keep it quiet just like they did with the Sarin gas shell. But what should we expect they are happy as long as it look likes Bush was wrong. Even if more and more evidence seems to show he was right after all.

Ask any general of that war, and note the micromanagement that took place by the White House, and the New Media who I accuse of causing us to loose heart and the war was lost. VC General Giap is reported to have said that the US News media was his greatest ally. Their reporting and slanting of the news convinced him that he should hang on, which he did. And of course, their coverage of our hippy protests convinced him even more. And the Dems would have us do it again in Iraq... Had we persisted and had we continued the withering bombing campaign, we would have won that war handily. Please Lord, not John Kerry, oh please, Lord, not him!
