My friend Maggie has had a really rough pregnancy, and now she has suspected appendicitis and is going in for an MRI. She's at 24+6, and many women do go into labour within 2 weeks of having an appendix removed (she's already had issues with pre-term labour). She's having a boy, and they don't tend to do as well in the NICU as girls, but maybe since they have advance warning, more can be done. I don't know. I do know she and baby need prayers.
