Lilllabettt
I'm not saying don't fight. I'm saying don't brand yourselves as a "Christian" militia fighting in a clash of civilizations. Guess who wins the clash of civilizations? ISIS. That's the war they want to fight.

Guess who wins the clash of civilizations? ISIS. That's the war they want to fight. Is it not already such a clash? Has not ISIS made it such a clash? I don't see how the Christians have much of a choice there either. They are being butchered because they are Christians, and there isn't any real help from others. So of course they will band together and identify with Christianity.
Didacus
(snip). And I really don't like Islam (NOT muslims, just to be clear).

Kateri89
I don't see what's so controversial about them fighting back. Is it not a greater evil to simply sit idle while people (not just Christians by the way) are being publicly beheaded? Unless I'm mistaken on Catholic teaching, war is to be used as a last resort and as far as I can see, this is the last resort. ISIS is apparently not a group that you can sit down with and come to an agreement. I can't be sure of what I would do if this were happening in the US (although who knows, it could happen any time) but I would like to believe that if my life and the lives of many others were threatened because of this terrorist group that I would pray for them and then fight back. All I'm saying is that as long as this Christian Brigade is fighting simply to stop the bloodshed of innocent people and not as a means of revenge, they have my full support. Credo in Deum
To me the Christian Brigade is well within moral grounds to organize and fight ISIS. They clearly have to rally under some battle cry since they're not getting much help from anyone else. These poor people are worried for their lives and the lives of their children and we're here worried about what others will think of their decision to fight? http://www.cbsnews.com/news/isis-is-killing-torturing-and-raping-children-in-iraq-u-n-says/ IMO, who cares what the world thinks!? This brigade has been created to defend these people from the unjust attacks of ISIS and to restore peace back to the land, not just for the Chrsitians who live there but for everyone. These Christians aren't looking to overthrow the entire Muslim culture in their towns, but rather they want to be able to rid themselves of ISIS so then they can live in peace! Their motives for war are just, IMO. Edited March 17, 2015 by Credo in Deum
