There is a Solesmes monastery of Benedictine nuns in Quebec, Abbaye Benedictine Ste-Marie de Deux-Montagnes. They chant the Divine Office completely in Latin with Gregorian chant, but I cannot ascertain whether they have Novus Ordo or EF Masses.  A monastery in Westfield, Vermont was founded from them and their web site states that they have Mass in Latin, but again without specifying N.O. or E.F.

The website for the Quebec abbey is http://www.sm2m.ca/

Prayers for you as you discern.

In general the Solesmes houses have the NOM; exceptions are Fontgombault and a few others in France, along with Clear Creek in the US.

I don't understand wearing most of a habit (the Poor Clares in Duncan) but NOT some sort of headgear! I would feel incomplete in a way...(especially with the cold weather in Canada)

Yes it is unusual or uncommon it seems to wear the rest of the habit but no veil.

As for them having cold weather most of the rest of the country would disagree very much!!  If Im not mistaken they are very close to the Pacific, a bit below Vancouver.  Their daytime high for today on the forecast is 10C.  I wont say where I live but  my general day time high for this time of year is about -10C.  My forecast for today though is a heck of a lot colder! :cold:

For those of us (including myself) who have trouble mentally translating degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit, 10C is 50F.  Negative 10 C is 14F.
