Winchester
violence is not always the wrong way to go. I've stopped many a bully with force when words failed.

Norseman82
My brother, on the other hand, has chased my around the house with a butcher knife before (no, I'm serious)...
Raphael, Do your parents know about this incident? If so, how can they keep their heads buried in the sand when your brother needs some form of help/discipline? My advice to you is: save up your money and move out, for your own safety.
BeenaBobba
I think that Ash is right. He probably just wants your attention. He might be looking for a fight or an argument. Don't give him the satisfaction. Instead, say, "Well, if you want to discuss this calmly, I'm game, but if you're going to swear and act childish, we're not going to have this discussion right now." It's not like he's 5-years-old. He should get the hint. God bless, Jen
BeenaBobba
Which is why I won't be doing it. I don't resort to violence. My brother, on the other hand, has chased my around the house with a butcher knife before (no, I'm serious)...
I don't know how old he was when he did that, but if he pulls a stunt like that again, call the cops on him. Seriously. toledo_jesus
Get outta there man. being threatened with knives when you have a nonviolent outlook on life leaves you with one option...leaving. I'd a pounded the kid by now. I feel that someway, somehow, it would have been justified. But I'm kind of violent. Anyway, I would suggest as a possible solution that you get an apartment someplace, and strike out on your own. I don't know the situation at your home, but you could go to school (Might I suggest Old Dominion University in Norfolk Va? Home of the Monarchs? Really awesome place? Horrible CCM but a great bunch of churches nearby? forgive the shameless plug). seriously though, you can forgive a person for chasing you with a weapon...but you gotta try to avoid that kind of thing. I'm kind of worried. The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior. Without some kind of change, your brother will continue to act this way...perhaps escalating again into violence. Thy Geekdom Come
Haha...the last time I was threatened with a knife was about seven years ago. It's moot by now, but he is still quite crazy. The only reason my parents haven't had him locked up in an asylum is that they are easily manipulated by him. Fortunately, I see right through him. voiciblanche
My gosh. Your brother is quite... pathetic. He sounds about twelve years old. And trust me, I know a twelve-year-old when I hear of one.

Paladin D
How about you get some head phones, and put music on? Or put in the Phatmass CD and listen to it on ya PC or stereo? Btw, is your brother Catholic?
Mickey's_Girl
flip the breaker that powers the TV or tell worse jokes than the guy on television ignore your parents when they tell you to ignore him pray next to him. all the time. no matter what. find what he loves and mock it endlessly, pouring constant derision on all he holds dear until he is reduced to tears or a blind rage.
LOL!!! :rotfl: I took this all as humor. "Endlessly" and "constant derision" seemed the tip-offs. Well, if Winchester didn't mean it "funny", at least I got fun out of it!
