Luigi
I know most of us aren't rolling n dough these days, but if you've got some spare change burning a hole in your pocket, you might consider helping out the Western Dominican novices. They've been using a red van they refer to as the Friar Engine (great name, eh?), but it is no longer functional, has bit the dust, kicked the bucket, gone honking on. My link to their Facebook page doesn't work - but you can find then on Facebook at Western Dominican Novitiate. Look for the post of January 30, 2015. (They get eight novices in one year, and the old Friar Engine can't handle the crowd. What kinda karma is that?!) Pia Jesu
Mater Ecclesiae and The Laboure Society offer financial assistance to those who want to enter religious life--but have student loans, etc. Perhaps they could be of assistance! http://www.materecclesiae.org http://www.labouresociety.org Also, the Knights of Columbus http://www.kofc.org might help with a Friar Engine replacement. This week, a national news story broke about a man in Michigan who walked 21 miles to work everyday (with perfect attendance!) A local college student started a campaign on http://www.gofundme.com and not only raised enough money to buy him a new car--but exceeded $312,000!
