dUSt
So I just watched Ida on Netflix. Interesting movie. It is gorgeously filmed in black and white, with no camera movement. Every scene is a beautiful still shot. As a movie, I think it's great. It's about a soon-to-be nun who was raised in a convent, and there is some great scenes of Catholic imagery in it. It's after WWII, and Ida is instructed to meet her last living relative before taking her final vows--finds out she is Jewish, and deals with some of the stuff that you can imagine accompanies that. It doesn't really dive too deeply into religious or moral issues. Very minimalistic in many ways. I don't want to look too much into it from a moral perspective. It's not anti-Catholic or anti-religious. It just is what it is. It's a good movie. Recommended. Warning: There is one very quick flash of a nun boob, so if that offends you, skip ahead about 30 seconds after you see the naked guy sitting up in bed. Hahaha. Lilllabettt
Amazon streaming has Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Just saying. If you wanna cut out that Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood junk and go for the pure stuff. p.s. just finished the one where Mr. Rogers writes agape in Greek and explains that it means love. veritasluxmea
Teletubbies, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Wot Wot, Angelina Ballerina, Larva, Spongebob Square pantaloons, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, The Winks, etc, etc, etc. Ah yes, I remember those days. Now it's more beyblades, ultimate spider-man, disney tv shows, and still spongebob. Spongebob never leaves. I've never heard of this movie, so thanks for posting about it. I'll have to check it out when I get a chance.
