katherineH
The Daughters of Charity have many retreats planned this Spring in Maryland, California, Kansas City, Alabama, Indiana, New Orleans, Chicago. This also have an online Lenten retreat which is amazing - they pair you with a sister that you speak on the phone with everyday and you have different prayers and reflections throughout the week http://daughters-of-charity.com/retreats/

Sr Mary Brigid
Greetings all! AVE MARIA! Don't forget the "Come and See" Weekend from February 6-8 here at the Sisters of St. Rita, OSA, in Racine, Wisconsin! We've already got women coming from all around the country, but there are still a few beds left! If you're a woman from 20-50 years old interested in an active apostolate and a contemplative prayer life, then we'd love to meet you. It will be a casual and informative weekend to hang with us Augustinian Sisters, do what we do, ask questions, and further your discernment. There's no better way than to just call....and VISIT! If you're outside this age range, call anyway...we've been known to make exceptions! You'll find some more information on our website here: http://www.sistersofstrita.org/news And be sure to check out our Facebook page as well, here, https://www.facebook.com/sistersofstritaosa If you want to call right away for information, just call Sr. Angelica at (262)639-1766, and she can fill you in on details. We're praying for you in your discernment, and God willing, we hope you'll consider visiting! corban711
Not an actual come and see weekend...but I would imagine this Open House could lead to a Come and See weekend down the road for interested women. I suppose this might be for those who prefer to dip their toes before diving in. Haha! http://www.sistersoflife.org Sunday February 8th. Open House. 2:00pm-5:00pm. anglefire
What I am wondering is are there any up and coming visits in Washington state for older discerners,
Luigi
1. There's a small community of Poor Clares in Spokane. I don't know of any Come & See weekend there, but the Poor Clares (in general, not specifically this monastery) do have some history of accepting older vocations. 2. There's a monastery of Benedictine women in Lacey, Washington. It's a fairly small and older community, not far from St. Martin's Abbey. They've got a Vocation Discernment Weekend Feb 28 - March 1 2015, and another scheduled for September. http://www.stplacid.org/ If you click on their current newsletter, you'll see that they have a postulant and a novice, and they just recently accepted another postulant... who seems to be an older vocation. 3. There's a monastery of Benedictine women in Idaho - it's not Washington, but it's not too far from. http://www.stgertrudes.org/index.html That's all for now.
