Guest Susan schlundt
If someone takes important meds for heart problems and decides to just quit taking them all at once and they die is it suicide?
CatherineM
I wouldn't consider it out and out suicide. There is always room to consider motives. As an example, did they quit taking them because they couldn't afford to purchase them? Did they find the side effects of the medication impossible to endure? Did they find out that their medication was produced in a factory where slave workers make them? Did they find out that the medication was made using stem cells produced from aborted fetuses? Did they decide to put their faith in prayer instead of modern medicine? If someone has stopped their medication with the express desire to die, it is certainly a form of self-mutilation, but more importantly it is a cry for help. Depression and heart disease often go hand in hand.
