veritasluxmea Posted January 2, 2015 Share Posted January 2, 2015 I have a brown scapular that I wear pretty normally. I take it off for sleeping, showering, exercise, and the like. Unfortunately one day I was taking it off and the string came out of the seam :/ I don't think I was pulling hard on it at all. The medals are very light. I think it just wasn't a particularly durable scapular. However, it was my mother's so I want this one in particular. I'd like for someone with a sewing machine or who knows how to fix these things to fix it for me. It's supposed to go between between the front and back of the scapular, but to me it seems like the only way to fix it is it sew it over and over again on the back- fine. I wear it under my clothes so as long as I can wear it, and it doesn't fall apart, that's cool. But however you decide to fix it is cool. I'd also like for the other strings to be reinforced so it doesn't happen again. I'm willing to pay for shipping and give you fifteen dollars as well. Cherie Posted January 4, 2015 Share Posted January 4, 2015 I'm not an expert seamstress, but I do an okay job. I just fixed my own scapular a few months ago, actually!
