What Will You Miss In Heaven ?

It is universally understood that God was testing Abraham. Why? Because murder, and human sacrifices in particular, have always been highly frowned upon in the eyes of God, and God would never have someone murder another or use someone in a human sacrifice to him.

I have no idea how the highlighted paragraph doesn't make sense. God gave us free will to do as we please, including to worship him and serve him, or to deny him and choose to be away from him. God knows what each of us will end up doing, and he knows where each of us will end up. That doesn't mean he forced any of us one way or the other; on the contrary, simply that he knows. It's not that hard of a concept, and it does make logical sense.

No, it means he can't. Did you know that God can't do everything? This is a fact: God can't do anything he wants. He is bound by his nature. He is bound to being logical. He cannot do that which is illogical, and he cannot contradict himself. Thus meaning that he cannot change his mind. He hasn't, he won't, and he doesn't even have the capability of doing so. It is logically impossible.

if anything it is universally debatable you say tomato, I say tomatoe , an you are just side stepping what I said, and if you cant understand how your highlighted paragraph doesn't make sense, then I can't help you out.  I also can't re explain what an oxymoron is; and to think that God is logical is also debatable , don't confuse love with logic, God does things that makes sense to himself alone,  God can't act against his love or contradict himself, but he most certainly can change his mind as demonstrated in Abraham an Isaac and plenty of other scriptures which you are ignoring. An to just throw up the universally understood doesn't hold water. God has all the means necessary to change his mind if he wanted to,  ( and lets just toss out the word if since you're not comprehending that  ) and still not contradict himself.

any how thanks to you n others who threw this way off topic which was never meant to be a serious or even half hearted debate.

I understand this. If I were in heaven and my sister were in hell, it's impossible for me to imagine not being sorry that she is in hell. However, I am not currently witnessing the Beatific Vision for all eternity, and so cannot tell you how not being sorrowful over such things works. I also cannot comprehend what eternity is like, and sometimes when I think about it I literally get dizzy. I simply know what the Church teaches, why it teaches it, and obey. That's all any puny human with a puny and extremely limited human brain can do.

woa woa you can not be a puny human with a puny brain, you are constantly showing off all your brilliant un challengeable information here that you have learned first hand from your scholar studies which are unquestionable in truth. give yourself more credit.

Seriously, that date I mentioned when you first came here needs to happen. You seem like a charmer.

I am pretty sure I am going to miss hot showers, sleeping, napping, food, burping and farting, those two are super fun////   creating art,  the night sky, which I only saw really well one year after a hurricane and the power was knocked out in the area, could see every star in the night sky.

freshly cut grass, animals, pizza party Friday, Friday ,   arguing,  sword fights, gun fights, super hero stories from DC and Marvel, bicycles, ninjas, hair cuts, doing stupid things for no reason because I can,  telling horrible jokes, watching south park.

I can assure you... If and when any of us make it to Heaven we will absolutely not miss anything about this life and if you really feel you will miss something about this life you may not be destined to go there. Sorry I had to be so serious about this topic.  :pope2:

What about sex? Now my posting this is guaranteed to earn some finger wagging.

I would certainly miss it. My understanding is there MAY be sex in heaven.

Peter Kreeft writes about this and says the sex in heaven will be BETTER than what it is on earth: link

It's not what you think. ooo la la.

Not sure about the Billy Joel music, but there will be no versions of Benny and the Jets in heaven.

I can not really know or even begin to comprehend what to expect in the afterlife but there is one thing I'm pretty sure I will not miss and that is:
sorrow
Toil & Misery
The pain of childbirth
Scorm
Jealousy
Envy
Hate
Hurt
Or the lost of a child
Or Death

I will also miss, people taking things too seriously, idiot managers who think they are special but really are not, I will also miss coffee,  my coffee mugs,  getting a hair cut, saying random things like harpodangle, clapping at awkward times, going to the movies and sneaking into another picture and yelling something random just to screw the mood up ;  sniffing rocks, my imaginary friend, and more to come.

I would miss stories.  :)

Stories and story-telling are such a big part of my life and of how I perceive the human condition. I love books, movies, and music because all of them tell stories.
