Ancilla Domini
It's not perfect, but if you use every syllable on every beat (In other words, don't use both syllables in "parish" on one beat) you can do it and make it sound alright. Part of lyrics is making things that don't inherently work and messing with them to make them work. If you use every syllable on a different beat, you'd still wind up with a missing beat at the end, though.
Ancilla Domini
Why couldn't Pius XII's last name be Pacellio? XP I wanted to do something like: I support the cause of sainthood for Eugenio Pacelli...o? XD But it would have been a syllable too short. Ancilla Domini
I listened to the original again. Here's a fix: I am the very model of a Tridentine enthusiast I’m traddy in the cultural, liturgical, and ***-ast*** I live close to Missouri and know who the real St. Louis is I like to quote the PBC and obscure Roman dubias I much prefer consubstantialis to homoousious I made the Total Consecration as a hyperduliast I await 3 days of darkness and a king like Alfonso of in Asturias*** oh, oh, "B"... Got it! B Edited it in the last full line. I guess that could work...most of these lines are things only trads would get - I'm pretty sure they'd be able to fill in the blank in this line as well. Gabriela
This may be a little risque: I'm for the holy cause of sainthood for Eugenio Pacelli But Medjugorje apparitions? Well, that’s just all tosh to me

Well, that’s just all tosh to me I love it. XD You'd have to change the pronunciation of Eugenio to "Eugen'yo," though, instead of "Eugen-i-o," and change the last name to PAcelli instead of PaCELLi. Or...how are you pronouncing that line? Edited December 24, 2014 by Ancilla Domini

Gabriela
We need to add something about chant. And maybe Sts. John Cantius, Cecilia, and Hildegard of Bingen...

Nihil Obstat
Free-writing: Cigars Vans Fish on Fridays Latin! Pope Pius X The FSSP Burying the Alleluia Rorate Masses ... Put your ideas in to spark others' imaginations! Bumper stickers as well, in my experience. This is getting much better. I do not have a lot of skill in writing properly metered poetry, but I can at least tell when the meter is off. :hehe:
