Gabriela
Do me a favor and make sure you become a regular here. It has been suggested he's Credo. The choice of username would seem to support that hypothesis.
Cherie
It's like when the NFL has everyone wear pink in the name of breast cancer awareness. I'm pretty sure by now we're all more than aware of breast cancer, and shockingly enough, everyone wearing pink has not decreased breast cancer in the world. All it's done is make people more aware of all the people afflicted with it, say, "Oh no!", and then do nothing as they pat themselves on the back because they wore a pink wrist band. Exactly. And companies love it because it drives up their profits. Slap a pink label on the product, people buy it to feel good about themselves, and the company gives a pittance to some breast cancer organization. Or they don't donate anything to anyone at all. http://www.statepress.com/2014/10/26/why-breast-cancer-awareness-is-a-marketing-ploy/

I vote something more masculine looking, like desert camo.
Cherie
Now we need a wristband for breast cancer awareness fraud awareness. I vote something more masculine looking, like desert camo. Apparently that's already taken, for testicular cancer awareness. True story.
veritasluxmea
Literally this is what we've come to. This is the first time I've heard about No Shave November being about charity. I don't know how it started, but for most people it seems to just be an excuse not to shave. It doesn't really have much to do with charity anymore. Nihil Obstat
Apparently a kind of violet purple ribbon is also for Crohn's. ^_^ http://everydaysahollyday.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/crohnsribbon.jpg http://www.fight4purple.myevent.com/clients/f/fd/fd7b6c9dfea0e47593de62451c1a6bd1/7143321_org.jpg

And I've seen it used for Alzheimer's as well.
