I refuse to participate because doing it properly means you have to start the month clean shaven. No thank you. <_<

I can't even imagine what you would look like without your beard. It must look rather like a hairless cat.

Men and women? Geeze, guys can't have anything to themselves these days...

I'm pretty sure there's something only guys have. So chill.

Lol, right, because we want to raise awareness of men's cancers and men's health, but not if it means women get to help. It's not like lots of male-dominated organizations like the NFL go all out to support breast cancer awareness and women's health, and women want to return the sentiment. Raising awareness is super effective when we ignore half the population.

I'm not complaining about women showing support, as it were. But c'mon, No Shave November is all about growing a beard. It's an attempt to create something amongst men. A woman can show her support without diving in to it in the exact same way as men are doing. It's just a continuation of the agenda that seeks to destroy the reality of gender and how each naturally gravitates to share similar social experiences with one another.

Want to help out? Donate money. Don't come trouncing through "our thing" whilst doing it. It just comes across as weird and desparate.

No-shave november day 4 update:

Started receiving comments of both disgust and encouragement.

Slowly realizing I don't have enough hair follicles to grow a respectable beard.

Please send help.

So you're just complaining that they aren't showing support the "right" way.  But how's it desperate? That doesn't make any sense, unless you're assuming that women are doing it to get romantic male attention?  Whatevs, dude.

Most women I know don't shave very often in the winter anyway. This just gives us an opportunity to cut the charade and be honest about it, for a good cause. :)

I honestly don't know how not shaving accomplishes anything, be it men or women. This just seems to me like another attempt by modern society to feel like it's doing something good without doing anything at all.

Amen, amen, amen, AMEN!!!

This reminds me of the "post the color of your bra!" thing a few years back, supposedly for "breast cancer awareness." A complete load of crap. It doesn't raise awareness, it pushes you into a complacency, thinking you actually did something good, when in fact you did absolutely NOTHING at all except appear tacky and foolish (in the case of posting your bra color) or amazingly awesome (in the case of men growing beards).

An atheistic society wants activities that appeal to the senses since that's all it can believe in.  People want to feel like what they're doing made a difference.  Ironically according to such a society it's considered "rational" to shave/not shave, wear different colored bras, dump ice water on your head, and walk for a cure but it's irrational to to think praying for one will help.

In any case I can't fault them for doing this.  They're at least doing what they can to the best of their beliefs -or lack thereof.  What I do find ridiculous is when Catholic's promote these events when they could be promoting something which could actually help like, "9 More Masses November" where you try to go to Mass 9 more times than you usually do for the month of November.  Maybe make those Masses a novena to St. Peregrine asking for his intercession to help find a cure for cancer?

It's like when the NFL has everyone wear pink in the name of breast cancer awareness. I'm pretty sure by now we're all more than aware of breast cancer, and shockingly enough, everyone wearing pink has not decreased breast cancer in the world. All it's done is make people more aware of all the people afflicted with it, say, "Oh no!", and then do nothing as they pat themselves on the back because they wore a pink wrist band.
