It is, of course, important to articulate Church teaching and to understand the rationale behind it, but when it comes to conversion it seems to me like the more primary thing is cultivating an attitude of obedience.In other words, the question should be less like: does the potential gay convert understand why homosexual acts are sinful? and be more like: does the convert love and trust the Church enough to accept her authority in this matter?
