OnlySunshine
Hey everyone. I saw the thread for the Divine Office and what week we are on, and I was wondering if anyone, like Chiquitunga, was using the Divine Intimacy meditation book? My mom got it for me at the Buffalo Carmel but I don't know what week we are on. It has weird dates like "19th Sunday after Pentecost" and such. Are we in the 19th week? If I'm correct, the meditation for today, Thursday, 10/23, is "Apostolic Immolation." Thanks!
truthfinder
Well in the EF calendar it is 19th after Pentecost so that probably matches, can't help any more than that though. Edited October 23, 2014 by truthfinder

OnlySunshine
Well in the EF calendar it is 19th after Pentecost so that probably matches, can't help any more than that though. The book is made by TAN Books, so I assume it's following the EF calendar. :) JMJ Yes Mater, we are in the Nineteenth Week After Pentecost, DI#326 Apostolic Immolation. Thank you! It was a beautiful meditation. :)
reminiscere
Divine Intimacy was written before the liturgical changes of 50 years ago, and as such it follows the pre-conciliar calendar, it has nothing to do with the fact that it's been reprinted by TAN or Baronius. 19th Sunday after Pentecost. Amppax
If you ever want to know where we are in Divine Intimacy, Dan Burke (editor of the National Catholic Register) has a blog, "Catholic Spiritual Direction." They send out, just about daily, the meditation from Divine Intimacy.
