Gabriela
I found this a fascinating—and very tactfully written—article. http://www.hprweb.com/2014/10/the-real-presence/#comment-174783
4LoveofJMJ
When I first saw the title of this topic, I immediately thought of the disadvantage of adoration is having to leave and go back into the world. Lol!!
veritasluxmea
Wonderful article. I agree with him about the neglect, but eh, I doubt adoration has much effect. It seems to be more of an issue with the Eucharist in general, not adoration in particular.
brandelynmarie
Fascinating article :). I think for Carmelites & those who follow their spirituality it comes easier to them to be more aware of God within when one is in a state of grace...but I will be meditating more so on this for a long time! It reminds me of a story of a saint...I can't remember who...But upon the baptism of his child, he worshipped the Holy Trinity within the little one as he slept & kissed its chest in wonder... Carmelites usually have a lot less adoration than some others (eg. one hour on Fridays.)
brandelynmarie
Carmelites usually have a lot less adoration than some others (eg. one hour on Fridays.) I was commenting on the awareness of or at the turning of one's thoughts toward the Holy Trinity within...especially during silent prayer. :) St. Louis is the only Carmel I'm aware of that has more Adoration. Sorry, didn't mean to imply you weren't. I actually heard a talk on Divine Indwelling earlier this year. First time I'd ever heard it, although a Carmelite had suggested I read Elizabeth of the Trinity.
Nihil Obstat
Small (but important) inaccuracy in the opening paragraph: According to this doctrine, at the consecration of the bread and wine during the Mass, although the appearances remain unchanged, the bread becomes the true Body, and the wine, the true Blood of Christ, who died on the cross for the salvation of all humanity. Rather, of course, both the bread and wine each become the Body and Blood of Christ.

The problems with digital communication :topsy: Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity is unique & it's amazing how deeply she is led into her Three  So much to learn from her
