If you have, what was your experience like (good or not so good). . .? Cistercian Nuns in Wisconsin Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters (several different locations: Lincoln, NE, St. Louis, MO, Pennsylvania etc. . .) aka "Pink Sisters" Handmaids of the Precious Blood (TN & NM) Norbertine Nuns (California) Poor Clares of Omaha Thanks! littlesister
We're practically neighbors to the active Norbertines in Wilmington, CA. They're a very welcoming and prayerful little group - just three of them so far, in the US three years from Slovakia, already with three postulants. They're mainly doing parish work. Website linked from "Sts. Peter & Paul Parish." As usual, I can't get it to stick here. The Pink Sisters in St. Louis are close to our place too, but we only know them from the outside. Beautiful chapel, good-size community, an oasis of peace in a very tough neighborhood.
Luigi
If you enter the Pink Sisters, you do your novitiate at the St. Louis convent. After that, they may send you elsewhere - they don't stay in one convent all their lives like Benedictines, so you might wind up in Philadelphia, Lincoln, Corpus Christi, Germany, Holland, the Philippines, Argentina, India, etc. They've received three novices into the St. Louis convent within the last year or so. And they expanded their grounds there a few years ago, too. But what happens on the inside? I have no idea.
